Post Pressure......

AHHH! I don't even know where to begin. I haven't posted since Saturday and I feel so far behind! These blog posts can begin to feel like such pressure!! So here is a quick catch up......

It all started Saturday night when I got home from church with a migraine. I felt better on Sunday but the lingering effects lasted several days.

Sunday night I got a call that my Mom was in the hospital with appendicitis. She had her appendix removed Monday morning and fortunately the surgery went well so she was released that afternoon.

Monday night I facilitated at the bible study I beg my friends to do with me each Summer. This year we are reading "Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible." The book is great and the conversation was light and fun. Best of all I was finally feeling free of my migraine!

On top of all that weekend drama I did laundry, ran a couple of miles, cooked dinner, attended 3 soccer games, 1 basketball game, and helped a girlfriend design a new blog! (Be sure to check out Pamela's new blog look here).

So there you have it, why I have neglected my blog posts since Saturday. I did have to laugh when my Mom (who just got out of the hospital) called to see if I was OK because I hadn't updated the blog in several days.

As I read back over the comments from my last post I was so touched by all of your kind words and encouragement. What a wonderful place blogland has turned out to be. And although we may not have met in person (yet) I feel a strong connection with so many of you!! Thank you for all of your support and prayers, I am grateful!

Great to see you back! Glad all is well. Was praying for you.

Know the feeling of balancing the "pressure to post" and the call to commitments. Can't let this become so important in my life that it takes preeminence over family and other activities. It should be 'fun', and I think personally, for myself, when I'm feeling it as 'pressure' I need to re-evaluate the position it has in my life. How tempting it is to let other things become a 'god' just by where we focus our time and attention.

LOVED your blog design AGAIN! You are such a sweet, sweet friend!

Love & prayers,
Joy

Wow, you have been one busy lady! I check in on your blog daily and I've been thinking of you this week. Thanks for the update, but I don't like the thought that you were feeling pressured to post.

I checked out the blog design you did...you did an amazing job!

My sweet Kelly,

You've been missed!!!

I'm so sorry you've been going through it. I suffer with migraines too, and my heart goes out to you.

I've been feeling like I'm drawing some blanks with my posts. I just don't know where all this creativity I read from so many blogs comes from? Especially YOUS!!!

I'm so blessed your mom is "OK".

Lord I ask you to refresh, refill and bless my precious friend Kelly today. Let her know how much you love her...

OH! I loved the new blog you designed. You are sooooooooooooooo TALENTED!

LOVE YOU♥

Glad you are back. You are very talented and did a great job on Pamela's blog. I saw it a couple days ago as I was watching for the update she told us would be coming.

As your last post said, keep your Sword near. It seems in the rush and busyness of life, that is when Satan attempts to attack us and we can be at our most vunerable.
Blessings,
Paula

I too, feel the pressures of the "blog" world. And am going to be out of town for a few days. Truly feeling like God is asking me to fast from this machine!

The neat thing is, where I'm going there is no Internet service, so I would have to drive into town, and download.

Kelley---keep your face towards the Son, girlfriend.

Love,
Yolanda

Wow... it sounds like things have been crazy. Glad your mom is doing OK. I'm feeling the pressure to post too. I think I've decided that this summer if I get 2-3 post up a week, it'll have to do.

Oh, Kelley. I so feel you here....I am just getting over a 2-day migraine myself, and I haven't posted since Sunday! Oh, the pressure. Ha! My sister does the same thing, starts asking me if everything is ok if I haven't posted in awhile

Hope you're doing better!

At least you know how much your blog blesses us.

Sounds like you had a very busy week. The laundry alone can keep me from blogging.

AND... I so wish that I could learn to do blog designs... only because I would probably change mine about every other week. Maybe, on second thought that is why I don't know. But I really would love to know what you use and how you do it. Any pointers??

Sooooo...you did all of the updates to your blog design yourself??

It looks great!

So glad you're back. Balancing life 'stuff' can be overwhelming sometimes. You do seem to do it all so well, though.
