Thank you to all who left sweet comments and wishes on my Anniversary post! I am still trying to face that part of my life without feeling the shame that I have carried for years. Your love and acceptance means so very much to me!
Now I am sure you would like to hear all about the romantic way I spent my anniversary. Careful, because this may fill you with envy! LOL!
I spent the morning with a group of crazy ladies preparing children's craft projects for next year's CBS (Community Bible Study) class. As of right now we have over 90 children enrolled and more on the wait list, so that is a LOT of crafts!
Over lunch at Chik-fil-A I had a meeting with some lovely ladies to discuss our CBS annual evaluation.
All of this Bible Study business (and food) left me exhausted so I enjoyed a Winnie the Pooh classic and a nap with my favorite Jedi..........
Then it was off to the elementary school Science Fair where I took in a lot of helpful information: Which plastic bag is the strongest (Good Value), what color is most effective on short-term memory (orange), which kind of bread molds the quickest (raisin), what kind of light is best for houseplants (indirect)......
Finally, I suffered through enjoyed watching my 8 yr. old play softball. I don't know what it is about her games that brings on cold weather but last night was FREEZING and wet! I would have taken a picture but I was shivering so hard I'm sure it would have been blurry.
By the time I got home all I could do was fall into bed. It was a YOYO (your on your own) dinner night and I was asleep before 10. However my husband and children brought me breakfast in bed this morning (coffee & an omelet). They figured I was hungry after missing dinner last night.
I guess it just goes to show that love is not about dates or schedules, it is the moment by moment living where we build love and relationships. The anniversary itself may not have been "dreamy" but our life together as a whole is what counts!

Whew...I'm tired just reading your post! There's nothing better than a good deep sleep after an exhausting day.
Romance and the frilly things only go so far but true love and deep family bonds last a life time.

Anywhere that Shannon and I go together alone (ex.: grocery store, doctor's office, dentist office, the bank)is considered a date. And if we get a Starbucks while doing any of the afore mentioned activities, it is considered full- blown romance.:)
A lifetime of loving each other means more than one night (a year) of dinner and roses.:)
